Kenneth Kemboi Urges Fellow Athletes to Seize their Opportunity

Kenneth Kemboi, the third place finisher in Eldoret City Marathon 2nd edition in 2019 has urged his fellow athletes to register and participate in next month’s third edition as it might be the big break they need in their career. Reflecting on his own experience, Kemboi noted that his third place finish was his first podium finish ever in an athletics event. The good performance allowed him to be invited for Palermo Marathon in Italy where he ended up winning the race.

Kemboi is the latest success story to emerge from the Eldoret City Marathon, which seeks to provide opportunities for local athletes, particularly upcoming and those without managers, to make a name for themselves in the world of athletics. It is a platform that pays just as well as most international marathons but without the restrictions associated with the latter, such as the need to have a manager, visa, financial capability to fly, and a good record of past performances. All one needs to pursue glory in the Eldoret City Marathon is to dare to dream and a registration fee of KES 1,200. Registration for willing participants is ongoing on our website here.
