Eldoret City Marathon 2023 Campaign Begins With Tree Planting

Preparations for Eldoret City Marathon 2023 began officially with a ceremonial tree-planting exercise involving organizers, sponsors, and partners at the Eldoret Sports Club on April 16, 2023. Several dozen tree seedlings were planted at the venue with 5,000 more earmarked to be planted at the same place over the coming weeks when the long rains hit. More seedlings will be planted and distributed over the coming weeks as we gear up toward the 5th edition of the marathon, which will be held on 25th June 2023. The 5th edition was originally meant to happen on 16th April 2023 but was postponed due to unavoidable logistical problems. The organizers opted to plant tree seedlings on the original date as part of the marathon's commitment to climate action. The exercise was graced by several sponsors, including Golazo Right Here, which will be the marathon's primary partner during this year's edition. Golazo is a Belgian company that has organized several international marathons, including Rotterdam Marathon in the Netherlands and both the inaugural and this year's Nairobi City Marathons. Registration for Eldoret City Marathon will open next week. The modes of registration will be communicated in due course.
